Im trying to get a good idea what people are seeing for EGT's, and what is ok.

Every set-up and tune will vary, so I'm trying to find something like mine.

I have a compound turbo set up with the stocker in place. 40% over nozzles only.

I run 37" mud terrains on stock gears.

I have been leaving my truck in Hi tune (5th position) because I have not been towing anything.

I am just curious what Similar set ups are seeing for EGT's.

I run about 800-1000 going down the highway about 70mph. Will creep up to 11-12000 on acceleration. They are a little higher with the air on I have noticed.. but usually don't use my air, but it's been hot and humid here. So could be the heat and humidity and AC?

Do these EGT numbers seem too high or ok?

Truck runs great, but my oil change monitor wants me to change my oil every 700-800 miles. Not sure if that's related.

Any input would be great. Thank you!

I'd say with your tire size that's normal. My truck has a single charger and small tires and I see about 100 deg per 10 MPH. 600 at 60, 700 at 70 etc.

EGTs are about the same as mine 37s stock gearing stock turbo stock injectors and Edge juice on extreme setting no EFI Live yet. See sig for all mods pretty stock.
From what I have read and been told I am very happy with how well the truck runs and low the EGTs stay didn't even see 1300 pulling 18,000 lbs Edge and truck in tow mode,up a two mile steep grade.
All in all I would say you're golden.

800-900* is what I saw cruising at 70mph during the summer. If the big tune isn't optimized in the cruise area, your gunna see higher temps and just what your seeing. 1200* accelerating seems high but again, they tune may not be optimized for that and more geared toward racing.

Right now with 4.56 gears, new mishimoto intercooler and cleaned cooling stack I see 700* cruising 70mph in 110* heat. Winter time I see 600* cruise. This all in 5 the gear as I don't have 6th

Ha, 1200 is below regen temps on an lmm, your just fine buddy. Mine would regularly go over 1500 towing stock going up over passes at sea level...

I appreciate the input. I think the cruising thing in a race tune makes sense. they stay lower in #4 position (hot street tune). I appreciate the piece of mind... just want to make sure I'm not being too hard on the motor leaving it in high tune. The truck runs good, clean and fast in the tune, so I enjoy driving it this way. I don't drive it daily now so when I do I want to get the most fun out of it!

That's what I was about to say! 12,000? Yikes! :D

Seriously though, those EGTs don't seem too out of hand. My truck runs around 7-800 with the cruise on 75. It might creep up close to 1000 on hills, but I'm not lifted on 37s. For what you're running, I'd say your truck is staying pretty cool.

Yes, Sorry, not 12000 obviously 1200.

Seems like from the info i am fine. I thought so I just wanted to be sure. Always good to hear that it's fine!

Truck runs and drives awesome.... just didn't want to be hurting it and not know it.

I always thought my temps were high, a year or 2 later my EGT probe dies and things look a couple hundred degrees cooler now. Might be something that simple.
