Where do I need to place my EGT probe??? Driver side, passanger side, or in the top of the down pipe? I have an idea, but posted to get everyone's opinions and to help my old school father realize that today's trucks aren't the old school detroits! All feedback welcome thanks ahead!!!!!

This example is NOT an LMM but the probe install is the same install procedure for all.

I didn't use grease. Drill and tap with the engine running so shavings blow out instead of go inside the manifold.
Just follow that video they explained it correctly. The probe location they mention is the same for all year Duramax engines.
