Ok, my dads truck is a 05 lly, with an exhaust and cold air intake other than that completely stock. The egr started giving problems so we figured what the hell, eliminate it. We installed the sinister diesel delete kit with the intake tube, since installing economy has went from a steady 17.5-18 mpg (he does alot of freeway driving), to just under 14 mpg city highway doesnt matter. Everything i have read says egr delete will improve economy, has anybody else seen it decrease mpg so drastically?

whole system is sealed up that was the first thing we checked.. i mean just being a plate and a tube i dont see what could be bad about the system, just confused as to how the mpg would drop that far just from installing it.

Did not notice any difference on mine, PPE tuned and some block off plate.

TX of course
How would not having a tune effect the mileage?

Not saying its not the cause...A tune is a good idea regardless.
