EGR Delete questions

At the end of next month I plan on doing the full WC FAB Intake Bundle with an LB7 up pipe prior to having it dyno tuned up at Danville Performance. My question is unplugging everything ( egr valve and related sensors) won’t put the truck into any kind of limp mode will it? I only live about an hour from Danville and plan to just drive it up there after I get all of that done.

My 04 never did. The code was there but no CEL and no power loss.

Cool. I work on semis for a living. Pre DPF engines only ever throw check engine lights. Stop engine lights and power derates are never there until they are DPF or what we call 2007 emission engines. Just don’t have any experience with light duty engines like this stuff.

Despite his username, he has an LBZ. Deleting the EGR without tuning will definitely set a CEL, but it shouldn't put it in limp mode.

Didn’t really think it would just double checking. Before I get half way there and it won’t hardly pull itself.
