I'm installing egr blocker plate on my LLY and was wondering do I need to unhook the wiring from the egr actuator or just leave that plugged in?

Your gonna get a code no matter if you unplug it or not so FWIW I would unplug it when it is cold (after a key on/key off cycle) and either install a finger stick or use some sort of programmer to turn the codes off and adjust the egr settings.
I do not have any type of tuner, I was reading that I may not get a code with my FE9 truck, or it will throw code but not turn on light. If it does I will order finger stick. Thanks for the advice.
If I remember right, I just through the plate in and didn't change tuning at all. EGR is gone now and I used EFI to disable the system all together.
Anyone ever see the stepper motor start leaking oil after doing a blocker plate? I put a plate on my buddies 05 a year ago and was working on it this past weeknd and he has a bunch oh oil leaking out of the stepper motor and down the valve cover.
i installed my plate about a month ago and have noticed oil seeping from y bridge inlet ....
I pulled the motor off and dumped a couple tablespoons of oil out....its been better since

Ok, installed blocker plate without finger stick on me LLY/FE9 truck. All is good no codes triggering check engine light. What is this now your saying will happen with this oil issue?
