Depends on what you want to do with your truck really. The PPE stuff is very nice I have a buddy who ran it for a while. Alot of people on here myself included run EFI LIVE the possibilities are endless. If your TCM ECM controls a function then you can adjust it. For the money I would go with EFI most vendors here supply 1 or 2 tunes with your purchase. There is no shortage of great tuners on this site.

I need to know what your truck is. If it is an LLY or older truck then you can run a DSP switch on th EFI live. PPE I do not beleive has shift on the fly power settings.

Fill out your signature so we know what your truck is

No problem man looko at the main header at the top of the site page and click on User CP on the left side, look through all the options and it will say edit signature.

Anyway as for the DSP switch there is no option for the LBZ guys yet on switchable tuning do to the fact there is not enough pins on the ECM. EFI is workin outr a way to do switchable tuning through the V2 the handheld part of the EFI LIVE system.

Some things to consider in making your decision include:

Future hard part upgrades - will you need to customize your tune if you add additional hard parts? The real question here is will a handheld tune get the maximum performance from your upgrades?

Do you need to acccess your TCM - EFILive will allow you to tune your TCM, handhelds only adjust ECM settings.

The need/want to tune other vehicles - with EFILive you can tune 2 vehicles straight out of the box, and purchase additional licenses to tune additional vehicles, whereas handhelds can only be used on one vehicle at a time.

Cheers
Cindy

What do you mean do 3 stops? EFI has selectable modules you select which you want to tune. Either ECM or TCM. Mind you your truck will be turned off when you are doin you tuning. It takes a minute to load a tune and off you go.

I think you are talkin about TAPS, or Relearn. There is an option to reset the tranny and do a quik learn after you load a tune. I have never used I just let the tranny get used to it over time beofore I go beat on it.

You will be more happy with efi live as it will be custom to your truck. Banks is good and the on the fly switching is nice, but You still cant beat a custom tune. Let me know if I can help you pick up EFI Live and a few good tunes for your LBZ

Mike.
