I know it sounds crazy. But I've wondered why no one has tried this idea. Having your EFI tunes on your radio instead of on a DSP switch. I would think this would only work on Double Din radios. My radio (Pioneer 4100DVD) allows image upload from either a AUX source or CD. You simply upload the pic and save it to the radio. Couldn't u use a AUX port as a source for all of your EFI Tunes?

Just a thought, I wonder if any tuners have tried this?

you can put whatever file you want onto flash media like a stereo, but you will need some way to communicate the file into the truck like thru the obd.

Feel free to start writing the new OS for your deck, and then implement it :thumb::D

Another thing..I have a bunch of my tunes stored on my Droid. Including the exe. for EFI Live with the usb files. Just in case I need a file all I need is a laptop nearby if I dont have mine. Good little tip fo some of you with storage on your phones.

I jus thought i would be cool to go to a mode on your radio and have ur tunes just layed out and you can choose your tune by the touch of your finger.

Considering it's just voltage changes, I'm pretty sure it could be done, but who has the money to create something like that? Maybe Ben will try something new??

Would be interesting to do this for sure. Closest thing I have to this is one of those $300 netbooks in the truck at all times just in case something goes down.

That is a great idea.

It would for sure be cool spark. The dsp idea might even be easier if you can figure out how to get the voltage changes from an output when you select a file.

Also you could setup a small laptop to monitor with a cool dash board and then run a AV cable to your deck and have your efi dashboard display.

i wonder if you could do all that with a banks IQ? its windows based right? i dont know if you could control the dsp with it like you can with the edge cts, but since you would still need the v2 in the vehicle for flashing and scanning perhaps it would work.

If you could get that working, then the question would become how many tunes can you have and how many voltage assignments can the ECM handle?

Ok, here is an idea I came up with but havent went much further because of cost.

Android app (in progress for last 3 months)

Elm module

Control dsp5 tune with bluetooth (that's the goal)

Already have been able to read engine data with the module.
