Hello everybody I'm new here and I have a few questions about EFI LIVE.I just purchase aEFI LIVE DURAMAX HD 07 08 09 10 GM 6.6 LMM DIESEL DPF EGR DELETE w/ DSP5 SWITCH with 5 POWER LEVELS
Level 1 - Stock HP w/ deletes
Level 2 - +50 hp / +112 ft tq
Level 3 - +100 hp / +204 ft tq
Level 4 - +175 hp /+289 ft tq
Level 5 - +200 hp / +311 ft tq
About 3 weeks a go I purchase the Edge Products 85400 CTS2 Diesel Evolution Programmer,I was happy with the power that give my truck but it didn't delete the DPF or EGR code of my truck, somebody told me to go with the EFI LIVE that this one will clear those code so I did.
it clear the code and my check engine light .I have a 2008 Duramax 3500HD 4x4 silverado dually LTZ my question is really I don't see much of the difference on the power level on the EFI LIVE as I switch from level 1 true level 5 another thing that I knowdes is that my truck with the EDGE has 2 or 3 times more the power than the EFI LIVE put it this way I only used the level 5 on the EDGE once cause my god that was an experience.I just want to know if it is something wrong with my EFI LIVE, it was program by roadreadyperformance .
My other question is I keep the EDGE Programmer can I put it back on my truck now that EFI clear the code and will they show back on my truck if I switch back to the EDGE.

There is a lot going on here, so I will try to answer the best I can. First of all, a good EFILive tune is miles ahead of anything Edge has to offer in any area you compare them. I have never heard of “roadreadyperformance” and cannot speak to the quality of their tunes. If you can’t tell a difference between tunes, I would guess you have a faulty or incorrectly installed DSP switch. You need to contact whoever you purchased the tunes from and seek their help to verify proper switch operation. No, you cannot reinstall the Edge tunes or all your codes will come back.

Sounds like it didnt flash correctly or dsp5 switch installed wrong or broken.

Don't get me wrong but don't thing is the switch cause when you do the installation the switch in the back has small bottom that you push and if it is install right the LED light on back of the switch will light up and it did, also when you start the truck and switch true the level every time you go from one level to the other one you heard the motor getting a little better on RPM and even the motor sound different from one to the other. What i mean is that the truck show a lot more power with EDGE this is why I'm asking here that I know you guys know a lot about the EFI.I just need some guidance cause I always heard that the EFI is a way to go for Duramax

I would wait for Tony1224 to sell his “the efi.” Probably get it for a good price.

I want to know what jank tunes you got that it changes so much at an idle?

If your EFI tune is truly +200hp you would've smoked the trans by now.

The op stated he got them from roadreadyperformance.com

Searches it and found their site. They advertise exactly what he posted.

To the OP sound like you need to log you dsp switch to verify it is working correctly. I highly doubt that tune 5 will net +200 hp but if you want your tranny to stay alive I'd stay away from it.

Its possible your pin aren't pushed far enough into the ecm connector and aren't making contact. So you and stuck on tune 1.
