If you still have the V2-your still ok. That's where all the magic is stored! As far as a the interface cable I dunno-I was wondering the same thing in case mine got jacked or crapped out.

That would really surprise me if true but a good test would be to take a V2 and swap the cables with another V2 and see if it works.

The info is stored in the box itself the cables can be switched. I slammed the cable in the door once and had to get a new one.:D

i read on DP that efi isnt selling replacement cables anymore...if you ruin your cable its another 750 for the whole setup...unless you made your own somehow

If you lost your V2 then I think your screwed. That is where it stores your license info. I believe if you have to buy another V2, then you need to rebuy all the license's as well for each ecm. Sorry about the bad news if I'm right.

there is 2 vendors on the EFI site that i know of that can make them
I know i was planning on getting another cable to permantly mount a dedicated cable to my 05:)

also there was a guy that had his EFI stolen and I think tripp had helped him cancell the licenses and then EFI cancelled it all together so the thief couldnt use it:cool2:

If you are wanting a for sure answer of your options, I would contact EFI directly and explain the sutuation to them.

Best of luck

As was mentioned earlier, cables are $750 (obtained by purchasing a new Flashscan unit). I just ordered all parts necessary to complete at least 10 cables and I will be building them, testing them, and if interested selling them to mcrat members in the next few days.

Pat and Kat... hopefully this is allowed? If not lemme know and Ill pull this.

Can you build them with a 90 coming out of the OBDI port? If the price is right,I would take one

I know that i enquired about this before with the cable ,but can you make them longer maybe a extra 2'? or is that not a good thing to do?
