I have 01 S10 with the 2.2l 5speed that's a beater/spare vehicle. Awhile back the electric air pump quit working so it smoked the cat. The cat must of fell off in my travels....anyways in Maryland they do a obd2 emissions test every 2 years and its Iy time. The SES light has been on the last year so i pulled the tune and disabled a few thing and retuned it. Anyways the codes immediately come back no matter what I do. Anyone else run into this? I have them set for no mil and to not report but they come right back. Any help would be appreciated or you can PM if you have any info. Thank you

Post the tune maybe someone will help, but don't they test for HC's, CO's, ect? So if it does pass the visual if they check the exhaust gasses it will fail.

You may also have readiness monitor issues too if you leave them disabled

I thought if you had them set to “not report” they would automatically set the readiness monitor to ready. At least that’s what I thought on gas vehicles.

That may be true on gas. My experience is with the Duramax and I've had trouble getting some to set when the codes where turned off/set to not report

I will post the tune from my laptop. From my previous experience with tuning gas (which isn't much) if I disabled the codes they would not come back and I had no problems taking the vehicle through emissions. They don't do tailpipe test here anymore they just check for codes and readiness monitors.

here is the tune. The codes im trying to get rid of are, P0140, P0141, P0442 P0410. I also got rid of the DFCO to stop the popping in the exhaust.

My truck was like that. It set a MIL for the vvt & emission stuff that was missing everytime I started the truck. All DTCs were set to Not Report.
