So I know from what I have read the Autocal is not your favorite subject but I gave in because I needed something quick and easy. So I ordered the Spade through Alligator perf. I have done some business before with them. So I got the Spade delivered Monday and installed it. Should be no problem right? Well it came with no instructions, and it is similar to the Autocal, but not the same! I have dealt with a few tuning devices some I was able to muddle through after making probably every possible screw up! So it RUNS GREAT, SOUNDS GREAT, SHIFTS GREAT! I am really happy with the tune. However it popped a code. So I called Duramaxtuner, talked with a guy said he was the cummins guy, he passed me off to Bob, cool! He said let me talk to Nick I'll call you right back. Next morning I called again, spoke with a nice lady, she took my info, said someone would call me directly. This afternoon I called again talked to Bob, he said they figured it out and he would e-mail a fix tomorrow, as they were trying to get UPS out today. Not impressed with the customer service!!!!!!!!

Tony do you offer LB7 dsp5 tunes? do you lock your tunes?

I lock all my tunes...........too many wanna be copy/paster tuners popping up like daisy's everywhere.

Hell everyone is a "tuner" these day........:roflmao:

They're all "tuner's" until there is a problem, then they become " unavailable".........

There is more to it then people think.......and people think it's easier that it is.

Should have bought it from me, the tunes would have been better, the customer service better and the price much better.

Live and learn.

I agree, for the price you pay, for the quality of the performance side of things, Tony is a perfectionist. Very approachable person to talk to and have him share his knowledge with you aswell. I am a happy customer of Tony's! Just wish my truck was running correctly so I can enjoy them tunes lol.

OK for the rest of the story, I got a call this morning from Bob at DuramaxTuners. He apologized for sounding preoccupied when I called and said Steve had sent me a video showing the steps to load the SPADE, and a new tune to correct the problem. Apparently something as simple as a switch normally off, turned to normally on.

So I have run a business of my own for the last 20 or so years, I know what its like to screw up! Its how you handle that, that matters. I accepted his apology.
The code it throws is p0087. Thanks for all your input.

I saw that a lot working for my last part time job. Bad part is he got caught. It's hard to tune when you don't know how any of the parts in motor work. Could sell the crap out of bolt ons though. I did not realise how much it took myself until I took the class and am trying to do my own. My lb7 is hating me. I am learning fast how important data logging is. I give all you real tuners mega credit.
