Are you using a Mac book? My buddy had a Mac book pro with windows and if he used windows to tune with the pad worked like a pc not the high tech savvy apple touch and tap lol

You either need a full windows capable tablet, laptop, or pc.

For in car/truck install- you can get extended cables to go from laptop base to screen.
Or- you can build a carputer. Use a compact CPU, mounted wherever is convenient, then run a cable to wherever and mount the monitoring device. There are even some double din radios that can double as a monitor.

I haven't built a Carputer in a couple years. But this is how a My CTS-V was done so I could tune with EFI live in car and not worry about some a hole swiping my laptop, or really even knowing it was there.

Ya one of my buddys just bought a window 8 tablet/laptop and i was thing of this tread......mount that bad boy in the dash, and get the wireless or Bluetooth keyboard for any tuning changes. I just wonder if the batterys could support it to run all the time.

There are Windows computers the size of a small paperback book. Just add touch display and wireless multimedia keyboard. They run off 12v.

I have one running our TV. Dual core Atom, AMD graphics, 4gb RAM, 750gb HDD, running Windows 7-32 Pro.

I'll take a pic. It's about as powerful as a $500 notebook.

Looking forward to it mcrat! Carputer I like that I was thinking of naming mine Jarvis like the control system in ironman. So I guess I'll stick to lugging the laptop around for now till I set in stone what I plan on doing sounds like a carputer in my future though

I just got done putting a tablet in dash. Full windows 8. I moved the hvac controls down to the center console then mounted the radio in the center console. Ran a USB hub under the glove box and another obd2 port as well so the v2 can hang in the glove box. Works slick! I ordered a fleece logger for her too... Should be sweet.

Neb you'll have to purchase the v2handheld/software from many resellers which one you choose is up to you and then you'll have all the stuff you need to flash log tune the adjustments are infinite or you can have a tuner write you custom tunes. Since you haven't filled your sig out I'm going to guess you have a 05 sclb? The v2 will be perfect but you'll have to into account your stock transmission there again I'm guessing the website is efi live.com and look for "resellers" and go from there hope this helps
