EFI Live laptop and OS recommendations

FYI, I ran EFI on mmy Windows 7 beta os. It runs well.

My choice is xp or windows 7 if you are going for a new pc.

EFI live run fine on vista as well, just sometimes there is account admin setting you will have issues with, but a few setting changes and no issues at all.

THATS WHAT HAVE! and i love it, when i started i used my mac with a vista virtual system, well virtual systems arnt very reliable and it crashed so i bought the Toshiba and love it, plus having two computers the Toshiba stays fast cus i only have HP tuners and itunes with a small small library on it. i also got mine from newegg

I dont have EFI but I do have an HP mini with the built in wireless broadband card. Keyboard is good the biggest difference is it does'nt have the number pad on the right side. I never used one anyway. The computer works fine its not the fastest but its fast enough. All in all I'm pretty happy with it.

i usually check for refurb, price 1/2 or less and was told years ago that most shops check for problems repair/replace parts, clean install then hammer with diagnostics to make sure will not have problem. an IT tech told me that refurb testing was harder than new run in. i've had several dell's and still running.

I have had good luck with my Dell's running XP. I have 2. One is a mini and it works awesome!!
