While flashing a 2007 Silverado Classic with a LBZ, EFILive lost communicating with the ECM half way through the programming.

Now I am getting the error message of no data received. It is as though the ECM is gone. The body control is showing a code U1000.

I have checked all the fuses, made sure batteries a fully charged, checked all grounds, unplugged ECM connectors and checked for problems.

If I look for the vin number with the V2, their is no vin number, but the computer does show operating sys # 12597107

If you look a the GPM CVN it shows:

part# 00000000 cvn# 0708
Part# 00000000 cvn# 88F6

I can still read the tcm, tcm shows vin number.

One other thing that I noticed is that the fuel guage shows no fuel and if you turn the key to crank the engine over, nothing happens.

Any ideas how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried connection the scan tool to it and seeing if it responds? Seem to get me out of a similar situation when I flashed my dads LMM and it failed..

Scan tool can not connect to ecm either. Tech II is not able to connect or read. The odd thing is that my Snap on Pass Thru Pro can comunicate with the ecm. Can search for codes and comes up that ecm needs operating software installed.

I will post more as I test and find out what happened.

OK this is what happened, There is a bug in the V8 program that can cause this to happen. The bug has been fixed with the latest beta and firmware. Only problem is that I am stuck with an ecm that is not programmable.

Trying to find out if there is a fix to make the ecm usable again.

ECM is done, buy new ECM and start from scratch.

On a new note I have had several lbz ecm's lock up, have a pile of them stacked on shelf. I ended up having my V2 cloned at EFI and have not had any issues since. I have tuned more than 50 lbz ecm's with out any issues.
