I can get it to move side to side a very little bit and back and forth a little. Trying to pry on the top behind the line against the fitting and top of valve cover. Little bits at a time.. Here's a pic of the platform that got busted in this horrible process..

If the button will stay in place when you get the new injector in and torqued in place it should be fine. But I would be on the hunt for a new lower valve cover. What does GM want for a new one?

Did you try the slide hammer trick? It works great on Cat engines. If I hadn't gotten mine out finally, I was going to build a adapter and bring my slide hammer home from work.

My old Dmax i had to heat the head up cherry red to get a injector hold down bolt out. The head wasn't broke off like you have i had to heat it up that hot just to break it loose!!! It creaked the whole way out and once i got it out the bolt was in a s bend snap lol! Luckily it didn't break i was amazed, i told myself if this bolt didn't break there is no way in hell anyone will ever have one break. I figured they were hardened. Good Luck

I may have to do the slide hammer trick. I've been through hell and back with this dam injector. Now have to drill that snapped bolt out. I have a set of lower valve covers coming. Hopefully that's not a horrible job

This is making me feel better about owning a LB7. I may have to replace the injectors more often, but at least there is easy access to put a crows foot pry bar under them. Pulled them all that way, was so much easier than the "proper" puller.

Well I just dropped the dmax off to the dealer. Just going to bend over and wait for them to do me dirty. Whatever I don't have the time to pull the valve covers and r&r them. Oh and that shit ass injector.. Looking atleast a grand I bet...fail!

 How do you heat up aluminum cherry red?

Sorry Josh i meant the bolt:spit: The head wasn't red at all except just the flames on it but the bolt was bright red lol. Sorry i made it sound like the head was glowing red but I'm sure you got the point
