I'm sure the eagle rods will turn out fine. They seem to have enough experience in this type of thing. Its nice to see more companies making parts for these engines. Maybe it'll bring the prices down over time.

x2 if they are 2500$ i would run Carrillos for an extra 200$ until they are proven no need to pull a "ben":D ;)

Have you ever had a catastrophic parts failure?...Didn't think so...I hope you don't considering your luck with go-fast parts, but if you do, you won't think it's too funny...I promise you that...

I'm not in the market for aftermarket diesel rods, but if so, I'd consider Eagle...I've got a set in my BBC and they have a pretty good rep in the gas world...

Funny thing...all the other "proven" brands were "new" once.....

Discounting new parts and methods before they've even gotten started is how this "sport" will die.

I totally agree but since I don't have bottomless pockets I decided to go with what is proven. I'm not knocking the Eagle's just giving my opinion.

I prefer to purchase north american made products when ever possible. I am sure the eagle rods will work fine. I just feel with the way the economy has turned in the last couple of years, spending my hard earned money with domestic manufacturer's makes better economic sense....:thumb:

People complain about all the stuff coming in from other countries. But it comes in because people are buying it. I'd rather spend more and get something made in USA.

X2. Their gas stuff has a good rep but I still do use it for my gas stuff. As a Tool Maker living and working in the USA I try to use stuff made in the USA. Eagles are not for me but I refuse to talk down on some else's build that uses them. Their money, their choice.

i ran a few sets of eagle rods in my smallblocks with no problems. I went mid 10's on a SBC 383 with the cheaper $200 set of eagle I beams for 2 years with no problems. Id run one of their sets in the duramax with the luck ive had with them in the past. As long as SCAT stays away from duramaxs, ive had terrible luck with them and would never run their parts again.

This is the info I was hoping to get. If they are even close in price to a rod that is been used in the Dmax for a long period of time I would go with the proven rod. I am not going to be doing a high dollar huge hp build, but I am also not going to cut corners.

Would like to know also we have built 3 blower motors with Eagles and the oldest is about five years now and still running strong.
