I made 425 at the tires with only a lift pump, PPE boost increase valve, built trans, and the DD tune I wrote. No smoke at all.

Though the perhaps the dyno you used reads low. It seems dyno numbers are really only good for comparing on the same exact dyno.

I was able to put down 486 RWHP at 989 LbFt of Torque with Single Stock CP3, Stock Injectors, Stock Turbo, FASS Lift Pump, see list below.
The largest improvement was whith a "Quality" EFI Live tune from ATP, Adrenaline Truck Performance, Idaho Rob Coddens. Tuner recommended by Guy Tripp at SoCal Diesel.
I find the best way to develop the HP/Torque you really need is to start with the basics and then build on them. Ask the very knowledgeable people posting on this website and ask lots of questions. It will save a lot of time, money and frustration in the end.
I hope this helps.:)

Yeah something doesn't sound right with those low numbers. You should be seeing 500 hp and torque in the 900 range, cause that's what I got and without the duel fueler.

PPE level 10 I made 414/777 brand x dynojet
With efilive I made 498/1005 brand x dynojet & 514/1015 mass diesel dynojet

All 3 times the Truck had a built trans and lift pump with Stock turbo,injectors,cp3. The truck also had a 9" lift on 35" tires.

Well, lot of variables in different dyno's. I know what is a legit good number on our dyno. Our dyno is usually lower than other peoples, but it's actually used as a tuning tool. I know how much power it takes to run a certain number. Just for instance had a drag car come in that runs 5.0s in the 1/8 mile, on our dyno it takes 1000-1100 hp to run 5.0's at 3200#s. but then again I have had cars come in that supposedly make 1000 hp to the tires that don't run 5.70s. Who's dyno is right? Doesn't really matter. The thing to look at is how much fuel the truck is using verses how efficient it is using the fuel it is devouring.

Well I don't know about small rollers the rollers on our dyno are 36" diameter weigh in at 1850#. But I really don't care about comparing #s between dynos. If the tune is good to go, unstrap it and introduce it to the real world.

X2.

Dyno said my truck made 397 on the big tune.....yet runs low 13's. Yeah right. They have their place when tuning a vehicle, anything else is useless
