This thread came back, and since then, we dyno'd 618 on a stock motor and 1254 torque

I thought a stock dmax motor couldnt handle over 600. And i also thought connecting rods would last with a aftermarket turbo i want to get a turbo but trying to get a price on my bottom end so i can get the turbo but first i think i need to be worryed about the tranny and lift pump

Any imput on this guys??

Its got over 30 runs in the quarter and its been ran pretty hard at times in the street. Still barely any signs of wear and tear *knock on wood* , except for the occasional puff of white smoke at start in the morning

Ecc_33 pulled his truck with a stock trans and 500 hp tune for quite a while and everything was okay. It was the burnout's and beating on the street that did it in. It actually got to a point where it could no longer be driven. He had to trailer it to the tranny shop.

If your just pulling a stock trans they will last, anything that involves racing or heavy foot on the street will wear it down very fast.

I got drag slips but the dyno only showed 350 hp and 878 pound feet of torque. When i ran the track my best time was a 14.09 but that was only two runs. My first was a 14.2 and my second run was 14.09. I want to run it one more time to try to get a 13.99 across the board. But it started raining. I think i may go back over this thursday the 21st of june and take vidoe and try to put a 13.99 across the board. i did a little bite more tuning on my truck so i hope i will make it. I will post up the vidoe and the time slip when i break into the 13 mark.

Turbo charger alone wont make your rods get shorter.

Well then i guess i will go ahead and get my charger But i do need to get off my pocket book and get a tranny and the bottom end built to be on the safe side i dont no how much longer my stock tranny can make it

Not to make you nervous or anything, but i heard on the dp thats a premature sign of shortened rods.

I know that, but it hasn't done it in a while, I know what imenent bent rods look like. After casper made its first pass with the GT42, later when he started the truck, it took a long time to start and it poured out white smoke.

Duramaxin14, I see that you are getting a Suncoast lift pump soon. Is that all you are doing to the trans? I will be contacting them soon but not sure what I want...

I think he meant a Suncoast Tranny upgrade and a liftpump.........The liftpump has nothing to do with the Suncoast :D

I am about to contact Suncoast myself. I dont need a buff trans yet but I just want to get it out of the way before I start my mods. Do you just give them a HP number you are taking your engine to and they will build a trans to hold it?
