I installed this tune and I am very happy with the results I ordered the whole recomended package with the exhaust the cold air intake and the tuner. I put them on a 2006 duramax he tuned it for my tire size before I installed the tuner I was getting 14.5- 15 L/100km at 110 km/hr that is around 19 mpg on the highway and since I got it I have been around 10.5 L/100km witch is around 27 MPG I have not pulled anything heavy since I have had it yet and I have not verified the computer calculations but my initial impression is very good you can tell it did add a bit of bottom end power to. I added the pipe and air filter first and did not find any noticable difference in mileage but the tuner made alot. I am haulling the camper this weekend so that will tell the loaded mileage and I am planning to manually verify the computer so if I find any problems i will repost but just by how slow the fuel gauge is moving I think it is accurate. It sounds like you said your new mileage numbers are from the inboard computer and not hand calculated numbers. If that's the case, you need to prepare to be humbled because I'd bet all the lint in my pocket that the computer is dead wrong after being tuned. sorry.

You might have gained some but it won't be as much as you are reporting now.

When mines empty i fill it up again, Too much fun driving, Dont care about mileage!

But it does do good for a race tune / heavy truck/ heavy driver/ heavy right foot!

I hand calculated the numbers this weekend it was a short trip but I think enough to give me a ball park. I filled up before I left town went home and hooked up to the camper and started tracking from there so not exactly at full but close. After the weekend was done I had about 210 km and the computer was reading 18 L/100km when I filled up I squeezed in 40 Litres so by the time you take into acount that I never reset the computer imediatly and I did atempt to get as much as possible in when I refilled I would guess that the computer was within around 5% of correct which I am pretty sure from the factory they are no more accurate than that.

So I do not think that my onboard computer readings have been messed with. I also verified my speedometer and odometer and they seem accurate to or within 5% or so. I think my gains are legitamate because even just the frequency of how often I am having to fill up has dropped and I am driving the same amount.

I dont know exactly how much because I never kept exact numbers from before but my mileage when pulling is significantly better than before to. all in I am happy with the duramileage programmers initial performance the big thing will be if something goes wrong down the road due to his programming I have not heard anything like that though and you would think if someone had had a problem they would be all over these forumns bashing it.

I have abondoned the fixation on economy. It has been a lot more fun perfecting an ECU rewrite to refine the ride quality, and performance character. Still get 21+ with 305's though.

I have heard about this on DP. The guy that tested it did not find a 4-7 mpg gain, I personally find that a bit hard to believe. Maybe 2-4 on a good day.

I cant imagine that one tune is going to have the same results on every truck I am sure that there will be a large range of differing results when different people test the product I am just glad that I am one of the luccky ones that it worked for. The good thing is that he is willing to refund your money if you are not one of the trucks that it works for.

I guess it depends on what the definition of "highway" is. I got almost 30 mpg hand calculated down here on "Highway" 28, speed limit 50mph

Let me tell you about my experience with duramileage. I did try the tune and I have since received my money back. To start off with, I mailed in my computer and received back the computer with the "tune". I drove the truck for about a month and I noticed no increase in performance and worse fuel mileage. (I don't drive the truck much because I ride my motorcycle to work) I called the company and of course like every time you call, they are not at the shop and will call you back. Two days later I get my answer, they sent me a stock tune. So they agree that they messed up and they send me a programmer with the tune on it. I am to call them to get the specific installation instructions.

I install the program and return their programmer. I run the truck with the new tune on it for about four months. I do notice an increase in mileage by 2 mpg when I would baby the crap out of it. I called the company to try and see if there was anything I should do and was told to contact Steve. When I contacted Steve, he was very cooperative and wanted to see if we could get the mileage increased. He asked me if I had any modifications and I told him I had the K&N filter and he stated my problem was a dirty MAF and that I should clean it and I should see better MPGs. I cleaned the MAF, burned through two more tanks of fuel and still only a 2MPG increase over stock. I then contacted Steve again and he said the there was nothing he could do that it was probably my injectors and that was that.

So I returned my computer again and had it put back to my stock setting. I was told that the company sends the money back at the end of the month. They received my computer back on the 24th of August so I expected to receive my money back the first week of September, nope. So I called them mid September to see if I would be receiving my refund and I was told that because I sent it back the end of the month, it was too late for refund that month. So I wait till the first week in October, no check, Once again, I call them and I get the same answer and which I then email Steve directly and he states that I will receive a check and I do within the week.

Long story short, it did not work on my truck as advertised.

I get 17.6-18 all city driving hand calculated at each fill-up. I imagine I would get closer to 22 on the highway

How does everybody get 17-20 and I cant get more that 14
