Duramilage???

I just bought a 2016 duramax. I am pretty disappointed with the mileage I am getting. I bought this truck and wanted to leave it stock unlike my other duramax. I have been seeing the duramilage and like what it claims to do. Wondering if anyone has experience with it or knows of a better one that won't be traceable in the computer.

Depending on emissions laws in your state I would suggest Deleting the DPF and getting a nice EFI live tune. Should liven the truck up and gain you some mileage at the same time.

Thanks but not looking to void warranty. Looking for a untraceable tuner to increase fuel mileage. More power would be a plus but not necessary.

Pretty sure the TCM stores torque inputs. And whatever tune you run in the ECM, untraceable or not, will show up if your dealer really looks into it.

Gm has many ways to find out if any calibration is put into the system and or modifications with sensors. They have expected values stores in there calibrations so it will limp or flag a code of somethings off

Wouldn't do it. Buddy of mine tried one in his new 15. Caused a ton of issues, cost him a trip to the dealer on his dime, and took 4 months to get a refund on the device. The customer service is absolutely horrible. He had to make legal action threats just to get a response.
And I've always been told they improve over time? My 2011 lml is averaging 14-16 mixed and 18-22 highway depending on if it's in regen.

Do u have a way to monitor soot mass in the dpf? If so when it hits 40 to 45 grams. Go for a drive on Highway and let it burn off. More plugged the dpf more fuel it takes for it to get the can nice and toasty

Getting 14mpg in my '16 dd'ing the poor thing. Get about 19mpg on the highway. I'm really happy with hat compared with what I get in my '07.

Then again I have a lead foot, so maybe others are doing much better?? Though I find it hard to believe in something that weighs the better part of 4 tons and pulls like a freight train.

I am averaging 15.9 lifetime on my 16, I have about 7200 miles on it and only have been dd'ing. But if I drive conservative I can get about 17 to 18 city and 20 to 21 on the flat open freeway no wind driving the speed limit lol.

That's said it is leaps and bounds better than my 95 silverado so I don't have any complaints coming from averaging 11.5 to 12 mpg hahahaha

There's no such thing. Modern ECM's record every flash with time/date stamp as well as other safeguards in place by each manufacturer. If those "flashes" don't coincide with dealer warranty work...guess what happens? Anyone claiming to have an untraceable tuner is blowing smoke up your backside looking to make a sale.

You cant even get away with a piggyback ecm or extra ecm anymore. They record dpf cycles, flashes, estimate def usage, number of times bcm com is lost, number of times tcm com is lost, tcm max calculated torque, max calculated HP, max rail pressures at rpm, number of times they loose power to ecm, bcm and tcm. You basically cant do shit to the new ones without gm immediately knowing it, the onstar system notifies gm if anything is out of parameter. I get notifications about tire pressures within 1 hour of the light thru email...:(
