Mcrats wendy race tune is all i run in the lbz anymore. Very smooth and excellent responce and him and kat are always there to help out. Kat had told me mcrat hasnt been thning much anymore and perhaps there are better lbz tunes out there seeing as the tunes i run from him are so old, but im happy

A while back I used to have problems with Kory's tunes not being responsive. You had to give it a decent amount of pedal to get going but every tune he has sent lately has been spot on and drive awesome. After using just about everyone at some point I only use Kory now. I always have the tuning I order lightning fast and he's great to work with.

Thanks Evan... I like the consistent shifts and lack of needing to learn by introducing the fuel in much like the stock curve. We have bumped them all on the bottom a hair though as that seems to be the consistent request.

Many times tuners will set the truck up to go 100% fuel at 40% throttle making it "feel" fast, but we prefer a linear curve. The sad part is, many folks forget this is CUSTOM tuning and all reputable tuners should be able to make a truck pretty well drive how the customer wants.

We sell tunes that drive how we like them, if a customer wants them to drive or feel differently, that's no issue. We sell the steak how we like it, but we keep the salt/pepper on the shelf for those who want it tailored to their wants and needs :)

Josh Harris has done some great tuning for me and my local customers recently. Josh is so helpful, smart, reliable, and down to earth. Doing business with him is a no brainer if you're out in TX.

I know a lot of you don't tune your trucks, but this is why we got EFI. 100% Custom tuning. Their isn't much you don't have control over.

Remember 1 thing about the tune responsiveness. The more responsive it is down low the more power it makes down low in other words TQ. TQ is what kills an engine so it not always the best. That and I got tired of the extra smoke and blowing the tires away at 60% throttle even on smaller tunes. Well I didn't get tired of it as much as what doing so did to my trans.:(

Kory, I've never driven a truck with your tuning but I've heard very good things. I like your theory of bringing the fuel on like the stock curve. I've had tuning like this and it was nice to be able to switch from tune 1 to tune 5 and not have to wait for the trans to learn so much. Only problem was my max effort tune from this particular tuner was less than impressive so I don't run that tuning anymore. The tunes I'm running now are similar, but my max effort tune is way stronger, and does take a little time to adapt when switching from a low tune to max effort.

Stock-to-moderate fueling up to about 50% throttle so response was close to stock is what my max-tune was set up for. Been that way since 2008.

thats why my engine still runs... minimal amount of added power under 50% throttle

Why's everyone leaving this great (communist) state? I guess it doesn't matter anymore that he's close because a live session isn't an option anymore when he leaves.

I'll probably end up giving Kory a shot.

Middlebury. I know a few around here.

That's not too far. I'm in Oxford. Work down in Greenwich used to live in Stamford.

I'm pretty big on that... Being teamed up with Calvin's brad goes into freak mode if they drive much different due to the trans having to learn so much.

I've explained it somewhere before, but in a nutshell when the Allison expects and has logic for X amount throttle for X amount torque expectancy (and speed).... When that gets thrown out of the loop by fueling down low hard you run into learning between tune issues and then it also much harder on the engine being in tq that quick all the time.

I like the idea of it driving like a vette, put your foot to the % of power you truly desire.

That shouldn't come into play with stock motor/turbo though right? I would think that is true for aftermarket chargers that hit real hard...

It does. Just imagine if the throttle was like an on/off swith. All on or all off.

With 100% at 50% throttle you lose half of the range.

It may be a stock motor but the tuning and power it's making isn't.
