We spent a lot of time on this, and I think it turned out pretty cool. We smoothed the valve covers, hid all the wires, removed everything that wasn't essential to the engine running, rerouted the rest of them to the bottom of the valley and ran them to a single bale connector at the top of the bellhousing. It is wrapped in some stuff made by DEI called aluminized sleeving heat shroud that is good for 500 degrees direct and 2000 degrees radiant heat. There's a good inch of clearance between it and the flanges on the up pipes. That's the only thing that has me slightly worried, but for this application, I don't think it will be much of an issue. All the computers are mounted inside the car behind the dash. I think it made for a pretty clean looking engine. Anyway, here are the pics.

Looks nice Josh. I did something similar in my 03 puller a few years ago. But being an LLY it still has all the injector wiring visible. Not near as slick looking as this...

I guess if you get people asking, "What wiring?", then you've done a helluva job. Nicely done, Josh. :)

Thanks for the compliments. When the car was dropped off, I didn't really plan on going this far into it, but I think the end result was worth it. It just took a whole lot longer than anyone thought. The previous work was a lot worse than I realized before we really got started on it. It was one surprise after another.
