Thanks for the support everyone, this is my first diesel so I look forward to learning a lot from you all. I am located in St. Paul, MN if anyone wants to come give me a hand , at the moment I'm working solo I weigh about 140lbs and the motor/trans are 1k plus pounds = slow.
Anyway I didn't get a chance to work on it today and wont be at least till parts for the motormounts come in. I think an additional 1 inch body + 1 inch suspension lift for total clearance of 4.5-5 inches should be good? (opinions please) Also I was doing some research about swapping in a 480le does anyone know what I would need to accomplish this? I would rather not add anymore lift or maybe even drop it a bit if this option is not too hard. My last question is for you folks in the northern regions, I plan on replacing the intake pipe were the grid heater is, it's to high and wont clear the hood. I have heard that the grid heater is for emissions only and does not aid in cold start, is that true?
