If it is an Allison why in the vid did he say 8 speed does it have a GV unit on it too?

That video is 5 years old. I'm guessing maybe it was a prototype, and they have since decided to go with a different transmission. The company's website lists it as a 6 speed.

The car has been in development for a number of years. The Current Trident ICeni has a LML Duramax and a 6 Speed ALLISON transmission. THIS IS GOSPEL FELLAS! I made the connection with them nearly a year ago, and Fleece Performance has been working with them ever sense on there Engine & Transmission controls. I, Me, Myself, carried a Suncoast Allison 1058 Torque Converter to the shipping table, destination Great Britain, bound for the Iceni, and watched it leave on a big brown truck.:D :thumb:

It won't last, but we'll take a test fit. If it fits, and is not stupid expensive, SURE!

I really need an LB7 though. Oddly the LB7 shares an ECM with the Z06.

I believe you 100% but what the hell is this British Yank Motor Trend Car and Driver wanna be reporter saying it has a 8 speed gearbox? Does 6 become 8 in imperial numbers or as Pat says "N" and "R" are considered gears in Britain?

LB7/LLY/LBZ will all work fine. Its all the same Class 2 databus that the Vette body/cluster needs.

The LB7 ECM is not the same as the ubiquitous LS1-b PCM. They look the same on the outside, and the connectors are the same, but they are in no way interchangeable.

Thanks! I did not know that.

If I have a stack of LB7 ECM's how do I tell which one is the spare for the Z06? I hope I marked it, but knowing me, I did not.

My computer system at work can tell which vehicle a computer came out of but I would need the numbers off of it.
