It's been pretty interesting to see how things have progressed right in front of my eyes....

I was standing at track side when Nick went by. His exhaust manifolds were bright yellow and I could count the mounting bolts.:roflmao:

Im glad mike told me about that pull. First time i had met the sheep herder was that friday before the pulls to have my trans done by him and after fighting traffic to get up there, i got to see the pulls. first time id ever seen them in person.

My wife (at the time, my GF) had to keep telling me to be easy on it when we left the pulls cause "Mike said no WOT till it learns!" :roflmao: oh times have changed in just that short amount of time

You forgot to mention yourself Rob.
You did a lot of pioneering in the early days with the twins with your tuning. You made a lot of people want twins with your success. You showed a lot of people how to make them work better.:thumb::D

Very true! I remember EFI just coming out and Rob asking all sorts of questions to Kennedy and Tony and Bobo and ofcouse Pat.

I still blame McRats & Casper for my money pit.

Mike, I wanted a Inglewood trans from you! but you never returned my PM and I bought from Suncoast....you probably still don't forgive me ...ya cranky old basted.

We Can't forget Keith either....goal for 1000hp.....um ya right bud.lolz:rofl:

Maybe I loved the drama....but Pat and Steve arguing was very entertaing:roflmao:

Yes that was very entertaining. Every time I was around Steve I felt like I was taking an exam, asking me questions for which I had no clue was the correct answer. It's too bad that Steve was/is such a narcissistic egotist, he had a lot to offer but sooner or later he managed to alienate most everyone who had befriended him.

Nasty girl was the first insane max video i saw. We had just been burned by FOMOCO and the 6.0 trucks and we walked to the chevy dealer and baught the only 1 ton dually they had 2 wheel drive loaded extended cab. Put a stupid bully dog on it and it was impressive in 03. I was in highschool still and i watched that truck get pounded and beat on day in and day and it just kept running even when injectors crapped out it just kept pulling like a train.

I started paying attention more and saw casper, then bobo, and idaho rob, henrys lbz, toms lb7 trent and his work, tomac going back to back in doc. Pat and Kat have helped me with tuning when i was overseas. Chris the Neens always helped me out also. Good group of folks

Im nowhere in the realm of your guys knowledge but i know when i have an issue one of you fellers or gals... Can help me out

I finally bought the truck that I first rode in back in 2008, newlys extended cab
He'll back then it was a stock e gone with a bd supermax and a 100 shot of nitrous. Ran 12.40s. I went to the pulls in Lancaster in 09 as well, met Johnny for the first time, Wes from Vegas and Chris the Neens. I had a great time and just started hanging out on the forums. From then on I was a sponge on duramax crap as well as cummins since my dad at the time had a 03 cc/sb 5.9.

I wouldn't know (or lack thereof) what I do without the many old members on here. I used to read Tom The bac posts about going 12.1 on stock turbo and me couldn't wrap my head around it. I remember my first 12 second time slip to the T, first 11.99 and first 10.99, all of which happened almost 2 years apart.

Now that I'm building the motor for Newly's truck I can't wait to get it back on the road. It blew up in June of 2012 and has been sitting since
It means a lot to me and needs to be back on the strip.

^ didn't Newly have a ton of bad luck with that truck and just gave up on it? I remember reading his build thread for it a couple years ago and it was ridiculous!

Yep this truck has seen 3 different engine builds before I got it. He threw in the towel after DPC 2011. Said he was over it because of his family which I can understand. When the engine let go may of 2012 tjat was the reason the engine was sold and sat. Up untill I built my single cab and he saw what I did with so little he didn't care about diesel performance stuff. He got into rock crawling and sand rails. We traded trucks back in May, and he is currently building a new engine for my old truck.
