A guy I work with was contemplating buying a new truck, he was looking at dodges and was dead set on another Cummins, after his 02 cummins, he asked my opinion on a couple things and I told him to go try a Duramax, just 2 weeks after he was knocking me when he seen mine for the first time for buying one, needless to say when I got to work this morning someone had a new LMM sitting outside in the parking lot:rofl: Die hard dodge guys, until they drive a Duramax

Maybe you have noticed this too being from southern wisconsin.
I know in my area the number of Dmaxes driving around is ridiculous. In my little town of under 3,000 there are 20+ that I can think of from the area.

Nearly the same situation for me getting my truck. I was set on a goat until my father in-law insisted that I test drive a dmax....you can figure out the rest
I was dead set on a goat too because of how young I was and wanted to be able to afford the modifications.
In hindsight I couldve built up an old 12v for about the price I payed to purchase my truck.
But In the end it wouldn't have been as fun and I love the duramax community such as this board. Everybody is very educated and nobody really brags.
I also learned there is a thing called sponsors and they like to buy stuff to make your truck go fast. Which is always nice.
