Finally got the adapter plate stuff all finshed up and have successfully bolted the Duramax engine to our BTS 4R100 transmission. Looks like it's going to be a fun year at the track...

Sweet build! Is this going in a dragster? how come you used the 4 speed and not the 5? I've always like the ford five speed tranny. It seems to shift so nice, every time.

Yes, it is going into our dragster. We've been running that 4r100 in the car for a couple years now behind the 7.3L Power Stroke motor. Great success with that transmission, zero failures, and we've got great control over everything with the PCS controller. Moving to the Duramax should only help things as now we'll be able to make a little more power and have a broader rpm range to work with between shift points.

that's awesome! I thought I read you guys were putting a dragster together. The top diesel class is going to be full and very competitive this year.

Using a proven trans makes perfect sense. Do you guys still have the lightning? I've always like reading about the trucks that come out of your shop. Keep up the great work!

Terry at Precision Industries did a nice job on that adapter.

Adapter turned out perfect, everything fit and bolted right up. Even mounted to the chassis correctly so the rear end lined right up. We worked with Scott at DeStroked.

We've been running this Dragster for about 3 full seasons now, got it down to an 8.51 e/t with the Power Stroke motor in it. Hoping to drop those numbers even further with the new power plant. And yes, we still have the Lightning, tucked away in the corner of the shop for the winter. Summer drag season can't come soon enough...

Over on compd they say DeStroked made the adapter. Im confused haha

I've been talking to Terry about this for quite a while. I sent him some parts for measurement. I know he bought a 263 transfer case for fitting purposes.
I just assumed it was Terry's.
If Scott did build it I'm not surprised as he and Terry work closely together and Scott is an excellent machinist and innovator.
Whoever built it; nice job.:thumb:
