Yes I was in oct. No we didn't meet but I watched you run in your van and saw you bust your rear end. Talked to your dad for a minute along with the guy that owned the riviera. (don't remember his name but I'm sure you know em) I ran in the bracket class. I'm pretty sure that's right? Lol might be talking about someone else. I think I was the only duramax in bracket class other than the red single cab that busted his tie rod, which I don't even think he got to race. Think it happened during qualifying rounds. I'd like to put on some stockers and see if I can run in the 7.70 class with a little nitrous. Idk though.
:roflmao: I forgot about the tie rod guy. I think that truck was a manual too. Wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't kept going and caused the track to shut down to get him off and do some quick clean up.

I'm hoping we have the u-joint issues taken care of now that we replaced all of the original 160k mile joints with good solid forged made in the USA u-joints.

The guy with the Buick is Brandon. He's a good dude. My dad was racing his LMM dually in the bracket class, but he lost in the first round. He bought into the gambler race, but since only one other guy did, there was only one round. At least it was an easy win for him and he was able to get his money back.

If you see me at any events this year, come up and introduce yourself. I always enjoy meeting fellow Duramax enthusiasts.

Ya it was a Manual. Oh ya I do remember the dually now! So who's was the little red duramax that was all built? I thought that was y'all's to? I made it to like the third or second to last round then lost. Had a bad launch. Do you know who the other guys where with the white gmc and I think the other was Black? They where in the 7.70 class also.

I think you're talking about 2 different guys. Micah was running in the 7.70 class, but broke before eliminations started. He has a lifted white 02 CC/SB. I think there was another white truck that Brandon raced in the first rounds of eliminations.

Unbelievable :( Just checked and I have an open 3.73 rear end. How did I cut a 2.18 60' on a 245/75/16 tire? I guess it's the weight. So whats do you guys use on these trucks? Detroit Locker?

First I jacked both wheels and turned one by hand and the other turned backwards. Then I lowered one wheel and put it in drive and sure enough one wheel spins freely. Bummed.

Look in the glove box at the RPO code list. You should see a G80 if you have a locker. It's very uncommon that you see one of these trucks without a locking rear differential because it is part of a package that almost all of them come with, but I can't remember which one for sure.

On a mainly street driven truck, I would probably use a Dodge limited slip or a True Trac. Both are helical style limited slip differentials.
