So if a guy already has a full billet suncoast built 47re sitting on the shelf, and a ecsb lb7. Would there be any benefit to swapping over? I mean the truck will be faster from just the swap, right? How much? 650hp motor.

I've just got this nice trans that winks at me everytime I walk in the tool room. It says, "wolf I need a home":D

I don't think they are quicker maybe a tick due to the positive shifts... But at your power level the allison is a better animal imop.

Some say they hold 1k plus power better/longer than the Alli but Evan & Mike L. seem to be closing the gap quickly:thumb:

I don't know how much faster it will be at 650hp, but it will be faster the more power you throw at it. They shift much faster and don't have the super short first gear that the Allison has.

It won't be. It's mine. But sounds like it will require an additional 5k in parts to swap over... Ahhh. My ally is already built and fresh. So 5k could buy some fuel upgrades:cool2:

Why do I do this lol

Shouldn't require that much money. The adaptor kit is only $1300, and you would need either a custom converter or a custom flexplate. A manual valve body would save you money over a pcs.

To be honest I don't like the PCS controller. It's spendy plus we had bad luck with a unit on a 48RE on my good friends cummins. We switched to a full manual valvebody and Precision air shifter and does just fine now.
