Any help with tuning please. LMM.

I started with stock, did the EGR and DPF stuff

then I backed the timing off 15% across the table.

Should I leave stock pulse width?

I'd also be interested in specalized tuning for large injector size D-Max's

I'm kinda half-ass (intimidated EFI noobie=me) putting a tune togather for big stick specialized tuning in my spare time to utilize the benifets of having them :D

Don't know if this helps any. I just got my truck back 2 days ago after the build, and we are running 2100usec at 23* and it put down right at 580 and 1100lbs of torque. Thats what i'm breaking the motor in with for a couple of weeks. Thats with 75hp sticks. OOps it was 2100usec. Sorry..

from what i have been told.. increas pulse width around the idle areas
and decreas in the WOT areas.

from the info MDE posted. oversize INJ flow worse/less at idle then stockers till you get about ~15,000psi or more rail

Larger injectors require less timing and less pw. But, to achieve a better idle and no smoke, increasing pressure at idle ( across the whole tune for that matter ) and decreasing timing ( pilot included ) is a great starting point. Playing with the stock pw for idle is not a good idea. Changing the pressure will decrease pw on its own. Changing PW across the board makes a huge difference as well, just don't play with the idle pw. JMTE

Ive kinda wondered about adjust cranking injection quantity also,in theory it should be dropped some, but it isnt smoking on my truck and idle doesnt smoke either

Increasing the pilot pulse will help. Especially if you back off the timing. On colder days, you can run into charges that don't fire because there isn't enough heat in the chamber.

I've recently backed off rail pressure in the mid range to take out some of the rattle. I'm still comparing the chamber pressure plots and all to see what difference it makes there.
