Which way is that:D ...I have even though about taking the pros and cons and seeing if I could get certain parts and put together a multi company kit (doubtfully) but but I have seen a few that ant brand specific

I havent had a problem with my ppe kit, Skylark did shim mine up early on, so i havent had a belt problem. It all depends on if you get the kit set up right from the start. I would do the ppe kit again without hesitation.

a buddy of mine made me a very good deal on an ATS kit ill let you know how i like mine

cheapest route is to buy a kit without a pump and then find a good used pump. travis and i have both done that and come out pretty good.

larry mine is shimmed now also and it still threw a belt.

Actually my ats installed easily, no pry bar, no hammer, and it never thru a belt, i ran the same belt for 3 years, changed it this year due to different belt routing.

If thats true? My II/ppe kit fit fine with no shim and has not thrown the belt in 5k miles.. I saved a few hundred going with the II kit over PPE and have been happy with it thus far...:thumb:

Henry on here had the best price on the PPE kit without pump when I was looking;) The only reason I went the II route is my buddy is a distributer and sold it to me for cost:)

The only time Casper ever threw a belt with its PPE set-up, the belt had been routed wrong and didnt have enough tension on it. We have put larger idler pulleys on to keep the belt at its tightest all the time. The install on the kit does take a little fettering to get straight, but even when its moved or not been perfect we have yet to shred a belt due to alignment issues. As with any aftermarket product purchased it should be installed with common sense and inspected frequently, no two are the same so its not always just a slap it on and forget it kind of situation. This applies from the cheapest to most expensive, cost guarantees nothing. Just my experience.

yes very true I hate to drop that kinda money and have to work on it but my fab skills are just fine it I have to tweak it a little

I also hit up henry for some prices:thumb:

I just bolted my PPE kit on and it worked just fine. I took it on and off about 10 times trying to figure out my fuel pressure problem and it was the modded pump in the valley. The PPE is very straight forward to put on and Dan is always there to answer the phone and went out of his way to help me figure out the problem.

I am going to route my belt like the ats kit to see if it helps with losing belts, also so I can run a van thermostat housing.
