For someone looking for no more over 650hp would you say this is a better option over a II 66mm with billet wheel?

If you wanna stay stock appearing it is a great charger but its nice to have some fuel with it.. or the the Dts 66mm is still a good daily driver also

How does the 64mm stack up against a II 66 mm with billet wheel. Truck would remain lbz cp3 and a set of 30-60% sticks? And also would not be looking to put down more then 650hp.

The II 66mm with install kit cost $2500-$2800 plus billet option will put you atleast $3000 plus install which will be a minimum of 8 hrs. It would take someone who haven't done it before around 15-20 hrs. Overall hp will be 600-650 with stock cp3 and 40% overs.
So you will have an added 80-120 hp over a stock turbo. Netting a average of 100 usable hp. $3000/100hp= $30 per hp

DTS 64mm IHI is a direct replacement so install time will be about 5 hrs for experienced and 10 hrs for first timer!
Cost is set at $1850 and over all hp with 40% overs and stock Cp3 will be 590-640 which is 70-110 added hp. So overall added usable hp will be around 90 hp. $1850/90= $20.55 per added hp

In the end you will have to make the final decision. It does seem that you are not going to push the 66II to its limits which could make it less appealing for the hp target you are after. However The ease of install and lower cost per hp points to the DTS 64mm IHI.

its pretty much like any other 66mm, so probably good for 580-600 just because your on stock fuel, pretty much what i am looking for too. drop it in an run it till my engine lets loose, then add some more fuel an run it at 700 horse. really really want to here it and see how well the egts are on how much fuel he has, spool, can this thing tow. stuff like that before i spend 2300 bucks on it.

Gotcha.. i towed a little with it so far seemed to do well.. i have plenty of fuel these injectors have made 850hp on a different truck. Spool seems great. And on my tow tune which i believe is 450-500hp it maxes egt around 1350.. will pay closer attention for you guys on my big tune after i swap fpr as its acting weird..
this is the only vid i have and was trying to be easy on the new tires :thumb:
