Dtc p0116 & p0671

Replaced battery on Friday and codes appeared on Saturday morning on a cold start. I cleared with V2 and they both returned. Bought a new ECT Sensor and replaced last night, cleared codes and then drove around for 10-12 miles with no issues. Truck was fine on the way to work this morning. Went out to truck for lunch and light is back on with the same codes. Any ideas?

Excess oil on MAF does weird things. Have no idea where you will find the O2 sensor though.....

As for the ECT if it persists check the wiring for any rubbing. Gauge working fine?

Can always try leaving batteries unhooked again for a little while. Magical trick to fix lots of puters.

Thanks durallymax - I cleaned the MAF after work yesterday and cleared all DTCs. Drove truck and no problems.

No O2 Sensor - Typo on my part, it's P0671 (Glow Plug #1).

This morning I have both codes showing up again.

From an older post I was/am having transmission shifting problems on higher tunes that occurred overnight (literally) and still persist. I know this has to be some strange electrical problem.
