Ok i just finished my head gasket replacement on my 2001 lb7. I did not remove the cp3 or alter it in any way. I am periodically having the p0089 code come up and clear. I have also added an airdog 2 165 to my truck. With adding the air dog would it possibly push the pressure up enough to trip the sensor and then go back down and clearing it( wondering about fluctuations in air dog pressure) if I lower the air dog 1 or 2 psi do you think that would stop the sensor being triggered, or do I need to replace the regulator?

Spek electric gauge... Pressure sensor and run wiring up into the cab.
Only pic of the gauges is this pillar one, pyro, big charger boost, and combined charger boost, had to use a 100 psi fuel pressure gauge because 60 is the there max boost. The lift pump gauge is above the rear view mirror... Second pic shows there sensor in the cold pipe on the twins. Very nice stuff.

They are set at 10 from the factory I didn't opt for the extra gauge. Thanks just needed some backup to my thinking that it was to high

Mine runs 9-12 psi depending on fuel level in the tank... 10 should be fine but maybe it's a touchy sob. Bring it down to 8. Are you sure it isn't set at 18-20 or whatever that dinosaur cummins likes?

Just going by the book that said it is preset to 10. I figured that if it was way high then it wouldn't only be occasionally.

My last airdog 200 was set at 30 when it came and my current one came at 21. So I strongly suggest checking it. You can get a gauge on ebay for under 20 bucks and a solid greese gun hose for under 7 bucks. That will screw right into test port.
