You just load a tune into your ECM like normal. But the tune is setup for 5 positions.
When you hook up the switch it will control each tune programmed into your ECM, as long as its a DSP5 tune.
The switch has 2 pins that get inserted into the ECM harness that lets it " control" the computer .
Now im def. a newbie so my description isnt the best, But ive installed 3 of them, thanks to Dustins Help ( othrgrl) .:coolspot:

just do a full flash rather than a partial flash, once its in, you can make tuning changes to the dsp5 tune and just do partial flashes.
kinda, but with the turn of a knob, tune changes in about .30 seconds
Why does it take so long? Hahaha, I emailed you earlier about getting EFI live ([email protected]) now just gotta do it! I'm looking forward to getting it!
we can change the delay too
you wanna have enough time to switch so when you roll thru the switches it doesnt hit each tune as you are turning the knob.
Loading the tune is the "simple" part of running DSP. Creating 2 or 5 different tunes that run well together is the challange, but it looks like Mike is taking care of you on that front.

So when you open the "Tune" in EFI, how do you know what tune your working on? Or does it givce you a folder with the tunes in it? Just trying to mentaly see how it works.

cant, the dsp is only for the lb7/lly combo. the newer ecms dont have the free ecm space for the extra programs.

When you open the tune if it is a DSP2 or DSP5 tune there will be a "+" by EFI Live Custom Calibrations. When you open that area up there are seperate folders for the additional tunes.
