Dsp5 switch/ efi live questions.

I've been wanting to get EFI Live for my LB7 for awhile now but they are not the cheapest. I have come to conclusion that efi live is the best for duramax. But I'm confused as to what a dsp5 switch does. Does the switch just wire to your stock ecu and then you get the tunes? The reason I'm asking is I found the dsp5 on eBay for $40 and I'm wondering if I need anything else besides the switch to get the tunes?

DSP, duramax switchable program. This switch wires into your ECM and works in conjunction with EFI live tuning. It does not have its own tunes, you will need to have your ECM tuned with EFI live and it would have to be written in DSP format for the switch to work correctly. The 5 represents how many programs are available.

If you buy from a vendor here they have the switches cheap, you will want a real tuner like the boys here so you can get ahold of them and they can tune you to perfection.

The switches alters voltage to ECM and intern alters your tune, that it in layman. Forget eBay and use the guys that make sites like his possible

Everything already explained, I will restate talk to the people here that do the tunes. Most of the time they will throw a switch in with the deal
