When you first upgrade a tune to DSP5 the dsp 1-4 will al be the same, you need to copy and paste the correct tables from the tunes you want on the switch into the respective folder. Start with your strongest tune, upgrade it to DSP5, save it as "Dirtymaxx03's DSP5" or whatever you want it to be. Close out and go back in. The base portion of the tune should match the tune you had open when you did the DSP5 upgrade. Go to Edit>configure display units, click all, then click imperial. Now run the script "DSP5_LB7_Late_Imperial.txt" - that will pre-populate all of the DSP 1-4 tables with stock tables and get your voltages correct for the switch. Now you can start adding your other tunes:
If you want a tow tune one click away from the base tune you would open the dsp #1 folder and replace the tables in it with the corresponding tables from your tow tune. A normal script will not do this for you and will end up making changes to the base tune.
If you want an economy tune next you would open dsp #2 and replace those table with the corresponding tables from an economy tune.

Most vendors are probably telling you it is hard so that you think you can't do it and will pay them extra to set up the DSP5 tune for you - or they feel that your friend shouldn't be giving away tuning that was written by a tuner for his truck (if he didn't build his own tunes) and that you should have to buy your own tunes.
