I think, stock-for-stock, the best on the market is the Duramax. If I were to buy a brand new truck and not mod it, it would be the LML.

If I bought one and was going to mod, my heart would go back to Dodge. I absolutely LOVE the interior and exterior, especially the Longhorn:drool:

It would be a tough sell on a Ford, although that copper color they have is pretty good looking.

My biggest complaint for the Dodges is the lack of power and the lack of a transmission that can hold it. The Allison and 6R140 are much better transmissions than the 68RFE; Dodge had a chance when they went to the 68 and botched it IMO. Stock, it's just....ok. But I can't wait to see what tuning with EFILive does with it

I know if I had to buy a new truck right now it'd be a new Dodge. No urea and I wouldnt have a pile of useless wheels that I'd never be able to put on my new truck. That all said I'm glad I bought my LMM when I did. Even if its tempting to see what they'd give me for a trade on a new red quad cab/short box. It'd be one thing if urea was the end all be all that Ben told us it'd be, but I dont see the LML being any better of a truck than the LMMs in the grand scheme of things.

Yes thats the key to the Dodge right now no urea injection. Also they run not to shabby with a hs on them and get good mpg after the delete. They never touch dmaxs im just not interested in a lml from what I've seen

Really?? The key is no Urea? Seriously not trying to be a dick, but GTFO... Why do some people make such a big deal about this?? I have had my truck for a year now and filled it up maybe 3 times. Over half my miles are towing heavy. There is a truck stop in town that has it in bulk when my light comes on pull up to it stick the hose in it just like your filling up with fuel and pay your Wopping $17 for a full tank:rolleyes:

Not trying to be an Ahole but I just can't believe people make such a big deal about this still.

I think the key is the cab and interior in the Dodge is above and beyond Chevy. Also think the transmission is another key if they had a decent tranny they could turn the screws to the 6.7 which by the sounds of it the 6.7 makes awesome power with some upgrades.

hmm lets see, spend $15 every couple thousand miles to put urea in it, or pump 3x as much EGR back into the engine and force regens to happen twice as often, resulting in the same horrible fuel economy that the 6.7 cummins has always gotten.

GEE which one would I want. HMM.

And yeah...I havent changed my opinion...the EPA is here to stay so suck it up and deal with it...as of right now with the technology we have, urea is the best option. GM has the initial urea problems all worked out, so now there is literally no argument for buying a dodge with "no urea", unless you are too broke to spend $15 extra every couple thousand miles. Which is kind of a funny argument, I see guys buying $60k pickup trucks, then they complain about the urea "one more maintenance expense". haha.
