Alright guys, need your alls input on somthing. My air dog is kinda acting up. It's bogging down at idle and when I'm at a cruising speed and dropping my voltage gauge, and when I tap my brakes it jars it around I guess and for a second it it gose back to normal voltage then drops again. How much do you think that's hurting my truck with what all is going on with it?

It's probably the airdog. Mine did the same thing.

FYI on an out of the box HTT 66 turbo with larger injectors, dual pumps and a good tune over 650hp is pretty common. Did Mark log it?? maybe you should log it and see exactly whats its doing

I've heard that but mine didn't show it lol. I'm not sure if he did, i can't log it and look at it. I don't have the software or knowledge to do so lol I leave it
To ppl that know what there doing. I do have a autocal but tho

Do you have any idea how much pressure it is putting out at idle and WOT? If your lift pump isn't keeping up then that could be a cause to your lower RP, but still 24K psi with 45% over should be plenty of fuel for 600+ hp. You never answered as to whether the turbo is a t3 or t4? I thought a 66 could make 600 on stock fueling. Something seems amiss about the whole thing. Either you've got miss matched parts or something isn't working as it should.

my buddies air dog wasn't running and the truck would barely run, it's a huge restriction if the pump isn't running. Bypass the airdog and see if it'll at least run semi normal. obviously it wont have much power, but as long as it's not missing and running rough you'll know what the issue is.

Or get a fuel pressure gauge.

Something is definitely not right, would have to see a log of the run to better figure out what. So much is in the combination of parts.....
If my stock turbo/CP3/injector truck could put up 580 on Mark's dyno, then your truck should be doing far, far more than that.
Anyways, hope you are able to figure it out. Good luck.

If boost while driving done the road is at 30 then you have a problem with leaks somewhere or a waste gate issue. It should easily be 625 plus.

I've been on my honeymoon for the last week and when I get back I'm pulling finder wells and checking for boost leaks and ordering my new air dog motor and gonna see what I can figure out. I'm not sure if he logged it or not. I could log it on my autocal and email it to some of you if you think you could help??

Yes, he has fueling issues because it would not keep rail pressure above 25K at 2500-2600us with just 45%inj and dual fuelers. The turbo should have made 600-650hp no problem but it was a fight to get 585hp out of it. I told him to find out if he has boost leaking somewhere and get the fuel pressure issues resolved and he should find his missing hp. If that didn't take care of it then he most likely has a parts combo mismatch with the setup or a mechanical issue with the motor.

Havnt had time to search for anything I've been on vacation for the last couple weeks. I do think the air dog isn't helping and I do think I have a leak I let a buddy barrow my truck to haul a car and he said it's got a hissing sound when it comes into boost so I'm going to look for it and probly order all 3" intercooler pipes and y-bridge

I tried to find the thread but the OE intercooler are fairly notorious for developing leaks. Somewhere on here is a thread showing the common locations of the leaks on stock intercoolers.

Hope you find it's a loose coupling or something instead though! :thumb:
