Simon, do you plan on notching the frame?
with 20x9's, depending on offset/backspace, you can either run a 285/50/20, or 305/50/20.
The off the shelf generic djm 3/5 drop will be a lower control arm drop, using the stock spindles. They will ride a bit rougher than a spindle drop, but, a spindle drop does not allow you to run 16's, let alone 17's, my 20's would clear by
maybe an inch.
I think the DJM 3/5 is around $850 with shocks.
If you plan on going lower than ~3.5-4" drop up front you will run into CV issues. Anthony's is the lowest LMM that Ive seen without any issues, yet.
With the 3/5's, the truck will sit 1.5-2" higher in the rear than the front, with the whole spring pack still in place, removing the overload will make it dead nutz level. Much more than that and the frame will be on the axle, so you will have to play with the height once the hangers are on. IIRC the long bed hangers from DJM have 2 different heigh positions on the hanger; 1.5" difference.
I would try to find a 20x9 rim that has a way positive offset, say +12 or greater. Anything 0 or negative will rub on the inside of the wheel wells, and you will be slashing your own tires at full lock.
The 3/5 is the best, all around drop kit Ive used/seen. Little more expensive, but once the drop spindles are on, you gotta deal with larger rims. Cant fit Abby's slicks on there
