Its no fun having to dig a cave under your truck to try and repair a shredded carrier bearing in the middle of the dunes....... Its also not fun having to destroy your new set of ramps to get unstuck ......

Don't drive near spots that look like they have been recently been disturbed, or near large pieces of trash, look out for suspicious people or anyone watching the road holding a cellphone. Watch for wires coming up out of the ground. Should keep you safe playing out in the sand

Thanx for the advice, I am hoping I don't have to deal with to many IED's as this is supposed to be a vacation :)

Thanx again guys

most 4x4 shops sell the automatic tire deflators that screw onto your valvestems. I tow a camper on the beach w/ mine occasionally and the key is to air down. When I'm not towing, I usually don't air down. Make sure you have a tow rope also

Air down to 15 or so PSI for truck and trailer, stay smooth on the throttle from stops, build momentum, do not turn sharp or brake hard. If you are pulling a trailer it is almost mandatory to air it down otherwise it is like an anchor. Oh yeah 4x4 hi/low depending how soft.

Keep pressures between 12-20 psi and everything will turn out ok. Use common sense. Avoid ruts, don't go near the water, keep an eye out for holes and ditches, don't even attempt to use 2 wheel drive, when in doubt flat out.
