Running Michelins by chance?

Try to rotate tires again and see if the bounce changes location, and if you start to feel it in the steering.

I had a very small split in one of my tires (Tera's) for years on the front. My truck pulled that way and I though it was just the alignment. One day the split grew about 1/2" and I had a bad vibration. Surprising how long a tire can be flawed and then one day it will let go.

Maybe that's what happened.... Tires are 10 months old now. It's at discount, getting the road force treatment now.

Did find a busted motor mount but I can't see that causing this kind of problem....

I've always ran coopers and used to get a shitty vibration and shudder from them, balance out fine but still did it, I figured it out finally after I got pissed I spent money on shit that was not bad and I bought tires and it was gone for another 20k miles.

I did have a ripped trans mount give me the same headache too

Checked trans mount, it's fine. Rotated tires back to front, vibration moved with it. Road force didn't find shit. Put the tires in the back again, laid rubber with it for a 1/4 mile and problem solved. Apparently the feathering on those tires from going too long on rotation caused some funky vibration. Never had this happen before with Toyo's, but like I said, I'm no tire guy. Shaved 5k miles off the life of the tire but she runs fine again. Back to 3k mile rotations I guess.:D

Wesley, let big daddy help. I had and currently have the same or similar symptom on mine and it turned out to be a bad u joint. Look up 1415 joints .that's what i needed since 1410 are a **** hair bigger but still fit....... . I can verify this as being true since I had this problem with 1410 ujoints

General rule of thumb is if it has an aluminum shaft it uses the joint with a 0 at the end, steel shafts use the joint with a 5 at the end. Theres only a .010 difference in the width of the joints(the one with a 5 at the end being narrower), but running the wrong one will cause all kinds of vibrations. You can actually get .005 thinner circlips to get you the .010 difference so you can run the common joint in a steel shaft. The 1415's is an oddball to most shops.

And the reason for reccomending a rebalance after joint replacement on GM's is most GM shafts used a glued in u-joint. They installed the joint until perfectly centered, then filled a cavity with nylon to hold them in. When you replace them youhave to burn thenylon out, and since they weren't meant to be centered off circlips agai,st the yoke, many times you can never get them perfectly centered, and never stop the vibration without a rebalance. Most 2500 and up use a circlip to center the joint, so its not a real issue with them.
