Never measured but my alli shaft looks like the yoke slides in the same as with the zf6. I think the extension housing on the allison is in place to allow for universial driveshaft length.

anyone know if the manual driveshaft is the same as the automatic , I have a 2001 lb7 standard cab dually

I think all the ZF6 trucks used 1480 joints and the auto trucks used 1410 joint's from 01-07. Not sure about the length. I have a drive shaft out of a 02' regular cab long box with the Allison tranny I would sell.

There is probably a few different shafts. If coarse you would have to use the same input for the tranny due to spline count. Also whether its ext. Cab, crew cab, short bed, long bed would probably make them shorter and longer. I don't think u joint would make a difference as long as they bolt up to to yokes on both ends.
