Where are guys attaching them to on our trucks. My set sheilds both the u joint on the axle side and t case side on my extended cab short bed.

Well be finishing mine up this weekend. I went a little overboard and did a sheild for the u joint by the rearend, a sheild for the u joint by the T case and 3 loops in between. Its overkill and a bit bulky but it looks nice.

okay we may have gone overkill. The whole cage assembly weighs about 60-70lbs id guess it. I doubt it will ever fail, an the best part is that it looks really nice.

Ill get some pics up tomorrow night hopefully.

Looks good. Exactly what I want to build. My only question or concern would be are you using this stricly on the track with your suspension blocked?? How is it going to work and move with your rear axle moving up and down? Looks like everything is welded solid there.

I havent gotten that far but most likely just for pulling use.

The entire "cage" is one peice however it is not mounted yet and I dont know the best way to go about making it so it travels with the suspension. thus I will most likely make is solid with the suspension blocked and remove if I decide to go on the street with it.

Im waiting to mount it till I get a chance to put the blocks in. otherwise it could turn into a traction bar:D.

On second thought, im answering my own questions as I type again, I may make them so they move due to the fact that some of the pulls I may attend, require 1" of travel.
