How many of you running them?

I know they're not required for my truck. I've thought about adding them but having a hard time coming up with a design that looks good.

If you have them, any pics would be appreciated.

I made my own, sorry no picture. No way to make them serve intended purpose and look sexy doing it. Unless you have a back half truck, i think they atleast look integral in that setting.

Look into Chris Alstons Chassisworks for some ideas.

Good luck.

If I was going to keep racing my truck at the drags , the techs thought it might be a good idea for to install some hoops . Alot of driveshaft under mine being hammered on . Didnt want it spitting the driveshaft out near the crowd .

I agreed it would be a good idea if more HP was added .

Your not going to let us down are you? :D

You did a nice job Ed (eds04max).

Not going to let you down . The motor is ready for a big turbo .

Still working on that and deciding on what is best .

Im am the true turbo killer . Im on #7 right now and changing it today again .

It isnt happy again . Stock turbos last me about 3 trips to the dunes .

#8 going on today . This one is used stocker with 40K off stock truck and we will see how long it takes for me to kill it .

Hopefully it lasts a few . Got pretty good at changing turbo's

Best thing is this though , dont be jealous .

Man. You got awesome room!

So sorry for off topic. With your weight, what charger are you thinking? Just for info, I've been able to run a GT4202 with my slide in camper on (around 13K+) with success (1.01 exhaust A/R). You do want to keep the Rs up when traveling up a steep grade to keep the barking down though (same with any big chargers I've run). Personally I wouldn't change it for a lesser charger though anymore. It's a fun huffer puffer.

You got me beat on turbos. I used up 3 before changing when the A5Ks first came out. Good luck on this one.

You going to put D.S. loops on?

Im thinking the same way , twins is the answer . Just need help doing it and some $$ . The usual limiter in HP is $$ . :D

There isnt any bolt on kit for the kodiak . All custom set up and turbo position is a issue . I have a few ideas though . The way PPE did Pats is a option with some relocation of elec components . A pain though , Joe and I talked about it a few years ago , but I didnt want it low in the right front fenderwell . Didnt like it there . didnt like losing fender liner either .

I have seen it done on a different kodiak back east , but my 2nd cp3 is in the way for where I have seen it placed on that kodiak . Looked clean though . Top front of motor turned sideways . Could work if cp3 taken off and a wicked single with lift pump . Kinda use to having plenty of fuel . :)

Either way for now a real turbo is in order and where I think I am going with it . A 40-94 and see if it is too big for daily driving and some towing . If to big I will put a 40-88 on and go with it for a while while the twin thing is figured out .

I wish there was more sled pulling here on the west coast . Looks like waiting till August is when next event around here is coming up .

You guys back east have pulling events all the time . Lucky .

We have year round drag racing . You can only race the kodiak so much before it becomes boring though . 15's just doenst cut it for fun .

Impressive for weight , but lame at the same time . :)

Time to hook to a sled for some exhibition pulling . Now that sounds fun digging hard in 4wd in the dirt . Suprised there isnt any kodiaks powered up pulling yet .

i'm suprised with all the heavy towing you do that you dont just give those little stock turbos a big brother to play with  , it would put some restrictions on sled pulling though .

Either way it wouldnt matter as far as restrictions . There isnt a weight class and all pulling would be exhibition only for fun . Unless there was actually a class made for medium duty trucks . I doubt that will ever happen . Id be pulling in a class of one . :D
