I'm running a BD exhaust manifold, and I'm not having any problems with it. However, I will agree that my ~$300 could have been spent more wisely towards a set of up pipes, or an EGR delete. Ditto to that PITA heat shield too. I just gave up and threw it away. Just tie up all your wiring away from your manifold.

Thanks for all the info guys I am still not sure what i should do BD wil sell me one direct for $335.00 Canadian funds but I have to pay the shipping of about $18.00 so I still am not sure what I should do I was told by one guy that on the 06 it is the best thing that you could do and that up pipes don't actually help that much so I have no idea anymore.

not to be too direct... he is wrong and misinformed, we are right.

If you do up-pipes, manifolds are reccomended as well to fully take advantage of what they offer. Doing just one or the other isn't realy that effective as far as performance gains.

I agree, but the BD manifold is not an improvement - it simply matches things up to the passenger side. My best recommendation is to save up for a set of CastFlow manifolds and up-pipes.

"New CastFlow series. They are $1250 + s&h for the manifolds and up pipes and will most likely last the life of the truck. Expect even greater hp and spool up increases and even lower egts with these. They also carry a 1 year warranty."

$1250 for the whole set? That's pretty good for manifolds and up-pipes...IMO!!:thumb:
