FWIW here is the p/n from my lml dipstick tube and stick. I also got the dipstick for it so I'm just going to cut off the stick what I cut off the tube. As per the pic looking at dipstick I should be able to drill that pin out and then cut the top of the stick rather than the bottom and it should work fine without having to make new marks.

If you can cut the top off like you think that will be slick....
