I put my fitting in the passenger side exhaust manifold where my EGT probe used to be. Then drilled the driver's side to re-install the EGT probe.

I drilled and tapped the driverside manifold on my pickup. Only problem I have is the gauge bounces/flutters.
You can also put it into the up pipe like others have but you'll have to remove the up pipe for this.

That air/water separator is a good idea. I should try that and see if it'll help keep the soot build up out of my blow off valve.

If you have room, you could tap the exhaust from the other side, and "T" them together. That way it would equalize the pressure and reduce the bounce.

From what I've read some say a small line (1/8") will stop the fluttering and others say a 1/4" worked for them.

I've got 3/16" or 1/4"(can't remember at the moment) and mine fluttered really bad when I first installed it. I took a pair of pliers to collapse the line and that helped calm the gauge down but not enough so I'm going to try the 1/8" line I bought. I also think I've got to much copper line so I was going to first remove some and try that; then install the 1/8" line.

I could be wrong though, it's known to happen.
