I've got kory's trans tuning and am very happy with it lockup is definitely more controlled. I've never ran at the track without it so I can't give you any solid numbers but seat of the pants-o-meter shows big gains!:thumb: It's a good option for a weekend warrior guy.

**** man what was your 60' on that 12.7? On 35s too?! I'm at 6800 and can't even hit a 12 lol. I'm gonna do trans tuning and see how that works out for me.

60' was 1.7, with a more experienced driver truck could have got mid 12's with that setup for sure that was bracket racing and I let out of it after I passed the Guyana still broke out only trapped like 96mph or something and on other passes had been trapping 105mph. I will post a picture of times slip tomorrow.

See when I hear times like yours that's what gets me confused. Yeah you have twins so your power curve will come on a little sooner but I'm only spooling a 63mm.. There is also only so much fuel that they can burn so even if twins can potentially move more air than my single it's not going to do anything. And to trap 105 on 35s with a lift and I'm only trapping 102.9 on 295/55 at 6800 lbs.

My truck burns clean as ****, it's even cleaner than stock turbo. The only thing I could think of that's hurting me would potentially be the converter not locking up right away. If that bitch locks sooner my ets would go down and trap would go up right?

Nice man. Here's my slip. You were already trapping 2mph higher at the 1/8 being heavier and big ass tires! I must not be hitting lock up real soon. I can't see lock up in my data logs for some reason. Did you have trans tuning on that run?

Ya that was with trans tuning. Truck definitely had more in it trapped 9mph slower than previous runs trying not to break out. That was my first time at track so didn't really know what it would do. Lockup is definitely more consistent than stock and shift points are much better, it is more aggressive even when DDing it around. Definitely worth every penny, I don't think it's a replacement for lockup box for a guy that races allot but it works very well for weekend warrior DD trucks in making them more consistent.

Yeah I daily the truck. And with the tuning on sale right now I'm gonna order it today. I could not get my 60s down for the life of me... Last year was my first time at the track and I was cutting consistent 1.81s with no traction bars. This year the best I could get was a 1.88 60'. My best 60' also came with 60lbs in the tires lol.

I know everyone raves about these modified stock VVT turbos, but twins are on a whole different level. Lots of trucks with just trans, tuning, lift pump, and twins running low 12s, high 11s. I did it back in '07 with my LBZ.

I don't understand it though. There's only so much fuel to be burned so how does twins get the truck faster just adding more air?

But my truck doesn't even smoke the way it is lol. There's no un burnt fuel. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around this. If my truck is already burning all the fuel how does adding more air make it faster with no more fuel to burn? You can see I literally have no smoke in this video

I'm just telling you what I know. I have personally seen I don't know how many trucks run low 12s/high 11s with the only mods being trans, tuning, lift pump, exhaust, and twins. I ran, I think it was, a 12.11 @ 111 in my truck with those mods.

I appreciate it your input. I just don't understand how it works lol. Does my thinking make sense? Those trucks are trapping 8mph more on stock fuel just moving more air..

If i had to make a educated guess - they are burning the air more efficient and with less heat. With the compounds, the small charger is open 100% with the atmo charger doing the majority of the work at that point... Theoretically, I would think with the modded VGT and having to squeeze on the vanes harder it would create more heat and lower the quality of the air entering the engine (The cooler the air entering the engine - the more usable it is 'manifold air density')...Banks actually did a amzing test on this. I do not have the most experience in that theoretical department... but my experience I have seen better results with compounds. To each their own though!

Thanks Kory! That helps clear things up a little.

I only have $1300 in this charger so I can add more fuel with the charger and have just as much if not more power for the same price.

I have trans tuning on the way. I will work on my 60' and I should see 12s forsure. We also bumped my pw up 100 too so that should help a bit.
