My dad has an 07 classic, which is an lbz correct? Anyway, I tried doing a search but didn't get anywhere. He recently drove my truck for the first time since I put exhaust on it and fell in love with the sound of straight pipes, so he wants his to have them also. He's already got an MBRP dual 4'' exhaust system without the muffler. Put it on right after he got the truck. But now that he's hit the 100K mile mark and the warrenty is out I'm wondering what needs to be done to get rid of the DPF. At least I'm assuming thats what the big muffler looking thing by the trans is. Is it the same as an lmm or newer truck where a DPF delete tune has to be done? I dont see any sensors in the exhaust system so how would the truck even realize it was missing?

oh, cool. So it can be removed without a problem? Besides being illegal I mean

He may need to install a tune as I believe some say it will throw EGR codes due to the loss of backpressure. A good tune though to shut the EGR off, and then block it will only help the milage and power out though anyways.
